In an effort to support Planned Parenthood, which faces funding cuts from Republican legislators across the country, some of Atlanta’s top baking pros coming together for a cookie fundraising drive. Cookie Grab ATL is running now through February 28.

Twenty-one local bakers are providing 21 different cookies for each box. Five hundred boxes are available, and they can be purchased online for $52.50. All proceeds benefit Planned Parenthood Southeast, so if the drive sells out, that will equal a $25,000 donation to the women’s healthcare organization. For anyone who is gluten-free or lacks a sweet tooth, direct donations can be made through the official website as well.

“Two things we love in this world are baked goods and reproductive rights,” reads an official statement announcing the drive. “For many women in America, Planned Parenthood is their only family planning resource. An estimated 1 in 5 women in this country will visit Planned Parenthood in her lifetime. We believe that Planned Parenthood provides essential reproductive health care and information for our community. With the organization under attack, we are here to offer support the best way we know how -- with baking and community.”

Cookie boxes can be picked up on Wednesday, March 1, and Thursday, March 2, at Little Tart Bakeshop in Grant Park, Octane Coffee in Westside, The Cookie Studio in Buckhead, or Sun In My Belly in Kirkwood. See the complete list of local establishments participating, and their contributions, below.
