Additional shutters in Emory Village, Old Fourth Ward, and Alpharetta

— Calavino Donati and Doria Roberts have shuttered Madre + Mason, their Southern-Latin mashup in Morningside, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Donati and Roberts are selling the business, and they reportedly hope to use the proceeds to purchase the Midtown building that houses another of their ventures, Urban Cannibals. The building needs renovations, and Urban Cannibals has been temporarily closed since November.

Lucky’s Burger & Brew has closed its Emory Village location. In an announcement posted on Facebook, Lucky’s confirmed it will continue operating outposts in Roswell and Brookhaven. The Emory Village location opened in 2015.

Baked Comfort Food’s Old Fourth Ward location, which opened in 2015, has gone dark, according to an announcement on the restaurant’s website. This follows the closure of Baked’s outpost in East Cobb late last year.

Chow Baby Alpharetta closed near the end of December, reports the AJC. The restaurant previously closed in Westside in 2014 and reopened at its Canton Street address last year. A sister concept, The Real Chow Baby, closed in Virginia-Highland last spring to make way for a fast-casual spot Gusto.
