Bellwoods opened in late 2014 and featured American bar food and small plates from Leif Johnson, who also serves as the chef/owner of Bite, and craft cocktails from beverage director Arianne Fielder.

A 2014 AJC review gave the restaurant one out of four stars, stating “I’m afraid the current jack-of-all-trades, master-of-few approach won’t hold up against stiff and convenient competition.”
